Prohibition Against the Imposition of Student Fees Improving Upon the District's Implementation of AB 1575

1. School Supply List:

Please note that you or your student is not required to purchase, donate, or contribute any of the requested items on the school supply list.  Additionally, no student will be denied from participating in any classroom activity if he or she chooses not to purchase, donate, or contribute any requested item(s).  However, if you voluntarily decide to purchase, donate or contribute any item in any quantity of the requested supplies and provide them to your student's teacher(s), the supplies will be shared equally among all the students in the class in order for each student to participate in the planned, fun, academic activities.


2. Athletics:
Please  note that your student  is not required to purchase, donate, or contribute any portion of the team's costs as a condition of participation on an athletic team.   Additionally, no student will be denied the opportunity to participate on an athletic team if he or she chooses not to purchase, donate, or contribute any portion of the team's expenses or if he or she chooses not to participate in any fundraising event(s).


3. Field Trips:
Please  note that you or your student is not required to purchase, donate, or contribute any  portion of the costs for the field trip. Additionally, no student will be denied from participating in the field trip if he or she chooses not to purchase, donate, or contribute any portion of the costs for the field trip.  However, if you voluntarily decide to purchase, donate, or contribute any portion of the costs for the field trip, your purchase, donation, or contribution will be applied to the overall budget for all students to participate in this year's [insert tvpe of trip].

Additionally,  the staff is scheduling fund raising events in which you and/or your student will have the option to participate  to help facilitate each student's attendance.   No student will be denied attendance to the field trip if he or she chooses not to purchase, donate, or contribute in any of the fundraising  event(s).

Booster Webstore

The Athletic Booster Club kindly provides a webstore so that parents can purchase items that the school is no longer permitted to offer due to state/district regulations.

Welcome incoming College Park freshman.  Congratulations on successfully completing 8th grade.  We strongly encourage all of our freshman to become involved in every aspect of student life at College Park.  We offer 15 different sports spread out over 3 seasons.  We aspire to be highly competitive while focusing on character, hard work, and fun as the foundation of all of our programs. For those of you interested in being a part of our Falcon Tradition please see the information below.  Note there are deadline and registration requirements for all athletic participation.

 

Season Start Dates

 

Fall Sports-Start date is August 7, 2017 (Football only), August 14, 2017 all others.

Football, Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, Girls Golf, Girls Tennis, Boys & Girls Water Polo, Cheer

Winter Sports-Start date is November 6, 2017 all sports.

Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Wrestling, Cheer

Spring Sports-Start date is February 5, 2018 all sports.

Track & Field , Boys Lacrosse, Girls Lacrosse, Softball, Baseball, Swimming, Boys Golf, Boys Volleyball, Boys tennis

 

*We are in the process of piloting an online registration for student-athletes.  Please keep an eye on our website as we hope to have this up and running soon.  All parents and students will need to register for athletic participation two weeks prior to the start of the season.  Students will not be allowed to try-out until registration has been completed.

 

Fall Due Date and Parent Night (Hurtado Gym 7pm):  Tuesday, July 26th

Winter Due Date and Parent Night (Hurtado Gym 7pm):  Monday, October 23rd

Spring Due Date and Parent Night (Hurtado Gym 7pm):  Monday, January 22nd

Walk thru dates for 2017-2018 school year are as follows:

 

Tuesday, August 15 from 9:00 am to 12:00 for 9th and 12th graders

Wednesday, August 16 from 9:00 am to 12:00 for 10th and 11th graders

Wednesday, August 16 from 5:00 to 6:00 for those who cannot attend day time walk-thru.​

 

Walk thru information and all relevant forms will be available for download early August.

 

First day of school for students is Tuesday, August 22.
