College & Career Center

Come to the College and Career Center (S7) on Friday, January 19th at 7:15 for coffee and donuts with counselors.

This is a perfect time to ask questions about the college application process in a more personal environment.

If you are currently a junior, now is the time to be practicing standardized testing for college admissions.

Practice ACT- Monday, January 22nd

Practice SAT- Monday, January 29th

The test will be held in the library starting at 2:45PM. Please bring a calculator and pencils.

To register, see Ms. Lowe before school or during lunch in S7. To reserve your spot you must make a $10 deposit that will be returned to you upon completion of your test. Please ask Ms. Lowe about cancellation details

If you took the PSAT at College Park in October, then your score is available two different ways.

It is available in a student's CollegeBoard account OR students can stop by S7 for a hard copy of their score during lunch.

Hello Senior Parents and Senior Falcons!

As you know, after you apply to a CSU (or any college for that matter) you need to send in your official SAT scores from collegeboard. The deadline to send in your SAT scores is not the same as the application deadline (which is tomorrow), but the deadline for SATs varies between each school.

In order for all of your CSUs to receive your SATs, you do not need to send your SAT to each CSU but instead send it using this code on Collegeboard: 3594.

This is really important, because I just found this out and have been telling students differently in workshops. I apologize, but this year CSUs explicitly stated that CSU mentor would be discontinued as their new application Cal State Apply is in use (3594 is the code for CSU Mentor).

Please stop by before school or during lunch if you need assistance, again I apologize for the confusion.

Ms. Lowe

PS- If you read this even though you took the ACT, you do not need to send your ACT to CSUs using the code 3594, the original rule still applies that when you send your ACT to one school that it will be shared with all the CSUs you applied to

Hello Seniors!

Are you applying to schools using the Common Application? If yes and you'd like some help getting started or you have some very specific questions about the application, please come to the computer lab in the library on Monday, December 18th.

We will be there from 2:40-4PM. Please contact Ms. Lowe  if you have questions.
