Visual and Performing Arts
Welcome to the College Park High School Visual Arts department! Here we will provide information about the VA teachers, classes, programs, and organizations. The VA department strives to engage all students in active and participatory learning with the hopes of creating lifelong passion of the arts.
Our College Park High School Instrumental Program has enjoyed a rich history of more than forty years. Throughout its history, the organization has maintained a reputation for musical excellence and high standards for performance. Students, parents and administrators alike understand and accept that the study of music is valuable in the life of a child and that maintenance of a healthy instrumental program is a necessity.
Visit our Instrumental Music site to learn about this vital program.
Our award-winning choirs have traveled across the continent representing College Park High School with pride, from Hawaii to New York, Vancouver to New Orleans. Choir students maintain an active schedule of concerts, festivals, holiday caroling, and school and community events. Choirs of different levels are available to accommodate beginners as well as advanced level singers.

CPTV is the student run broadcasting and video production program. This comprehensive introduction to broadcasting and production arts allows students to work cooperatively in a simulated professional environment featuring production crews, broadcast journalism, documentary making, instructional videos, and even cooking videos on our kitchen set.
CPTV students produce College Park video bulletins, public service announcements, editorial opinions, and authentic news stories from around the world and from our own community. Courses are sequenced so that students can build on the skills they learn each year as they progress through the program.
Visit the CPHS Theatre site for more information about our drama program.
