The Wellness Center at College Park is operated by Wellness Director (Social Work Specialist)  Charisse Segee.  The Wellness Center offers a calming space when students need to step away from the chaos.

The following supports and/or services are available:

  • Short-term counseling
  • Family engagement
  • Linkage to community services and/or programs
  • Community partnerships
  • Internships for college students pursuing a Masters in Social Work to help provide services to students who need tier 2-3 support.
  • Referrals for long-term counseling or trauma-related issues.

The Wellness Center is open to all students and aims to provide support for students identifying as Foster, Hope, and African American following LCAP goals.

The center is also open during brunch and lunch for students to have a welcoming environment as they adjust to being on a large campus. Students are ultimately taught how to advocate for their needs and rights when in the Wellness Center.
